Stevenage M4's played their first league home game against a St Albans 9. The match started off very end to end with both teams testing each other's defence very well. The Stevenage defence, which included Graham, Bingey and Ike (playing his first league game) and with Pete playing as CB dealt with the St Albans attacks very well. On the 6th minute St Albans pressure took their advantage and opened the scoring. 8 minutes later St Albans grabbed a 2nd goal, however Stevenage heads did not bow and with some good work from Joe to get the ball into the D Stevenage managed to win themselves a penalty flick which was coverted by Kev. Stevenage never gave up and Amey and Kev in midfield continued with attacking runs into the St Albans D. Alex and Leon on the right combined well with Jon on the left and Lee up front working hard. On the 35th minute Stevenage pressure paid off and found themselves level after they won a PC that was converted by Kev to go into halftime with the score 2 - 2. Stevenage came into the 2nd half looking for a winning goal in a still very close match. On the 45th minute a St Albans attack paid off with the ball just sneaking past Mike's left hand side. However, Stevenage never gave up and on the 58th minute the ball came into the D and Simon Russell converted for Stevenage's 3rd goal and equaliser. Both teams had chances to win the match at the end but a draw was a fair reflection of a very entertaining match throughout...star player Pete
