M4's faced joint league leaders Hertford 6's looking to improve on last weeks scoreline. With Zammo in goal and the stalwart CB of Tony Farnan M4's settled comfortably limiting Hertford chances on the M4's goal. With Joe Gore and Graham Spicer combining well at RB and Anand Mann and Jon Parker combining well from LB M4's passed the ball well to create chances for Amey Salvi in CM to run the ball up to the frontline which comprised of Simon Russell and Harp Mann. Ian Jackson in CM did well to deal with Hertford's attempts to break down M4's play trying to create chances for Simon Russell with Lee Pickersgill combining well with Alex Lake on the right hand side. Ike Bailey had another good match as LB substituting well with Anand. Unfortunately on the 17th minute a M4's clearance from the 16 yard line was latched onto the stick of a Hertford player and M4's went into the half time break 1 - 0 down. M4's came into the second half playing as they did in the first half marking Hertford players well, keeping their positions and doing well in passing the ball. Joe Gore played well in clearing a number of Hertford chances away from the goal line and Harp Mann had a number of chances at the Hertford goal with one on one attempts with the Hertford goalkeeper. Martin Swarbrick in LM also tried to create chances for Simon Russell. Unfortunately Hertford managed to get 3 goals in the second period including an unfortunate unsighted shot on goal from a Hertford player one coverted shot from a PC and one from a pacey run from a Hertford player. Overall the 4 - 0 scoreline showed improvements in last week in a well contained match from everyone with everyone working well together.... MoM Zammo
