M4's faced 2nd Placed Hertford 6 in their 4th consecutive away match this season...with a starting line up of Simon Russell and Leon Harvey up front, M4's played some good passing hockey in a very even first half. The CM pairing of Chris Niewdach and Josh Lake with both CM's making good runs through Hertford's midfield. Lee Pickersgill and Jonathan Parker played well in RM and LM respectively with the back 4 of Graham Spicer, Ian Noble, Ananad Mann and Kal Singh staving off Hertford's attacks...any attacks Hertford were able to make were saved well by Mike Hamid in goal. Unfortunately, with 3 minutes to go at the end of the first half, Hertford 6's managed to find a goal to give themselves a 1- 0 half time lead. M4's came out for the second half, looking to play as they had done in the first half. M4's played some good possession hockey, creating chances on attack and defending well with Alex Lake playing well as RB throughout the majority of the second half. Unfortunately, as the second half went on and with some tired legs, Herford 6's managed to get 5 further goals giving a final scoreline of 6 - 0....a very encouraging team effort from everyone on the pitch overall, though and probably one of the best performances from M4's in the current season, especially in the first half.....MoM Mike Hamid ?
