M4's played in a wooden spoon bottom of the table clash against Broxbourne 4's in their final home fixture of the season. With Paul Hemmant in goal and a back 4 of Graham Spicer, Pete Hindle, Ian Noble and Kal Singh, M4's unfortunately conceded 2 early goals in the 2nd and 7th minute. Despite this, M4's settled down well in the remaining first half playing some good passing hockey and creating good chances for the strikers of Simon Russell and Harp Mann. The CM's of Josh Lake and Chris Niewdach played well many times successfully getting through Broxbourne's midfield with the LM and RM of Jon Parker and Lee Pickersgill passing well. In the 29th minute M4's gained a goal back with Simon Russell cleverly striking the ball past the Broxbourne keeper's reach in the D to bring a half time score line of 2 - 1. M4's played the second half carrying on playing some good hockey. Alex Lake played well as CB with Tony Farnan playing well in CM making some good runs and passes. Joe Gore contained Broxbourne 4's counter attacks well as LB. Unfortunately, M4's conceded 2 further goals in the 44th minute and 65th minute to bring a final score line of 4-1..M4's now face an away match against potential elect winners of the league in the form of Blueharts 8's in their final match of the season whilst Broxbourne 4's face 2nd placed Hertford 6's to potentially decide who gets the wooden spoon.....MoM Graham Spicer ??
